Our Story

1995 - Inception

Gavin Russell (our proud founder) has successfully changed the role of service within IT. The drive for creating a business that would approach smaller enterprises differently, led to the creation of Wavex.

1998 - Fear phase

“Starting the business from nothing was a mix of excitement and fear – the focus was on quality; it was always to deliver excellent service. For me, at the beginning, and especially before I needed to pay hundreds of salaries,

2000 - Development phase

After looking at what it would take to design and build service obsessed IT tools, we went on to create, craft & build NETi, MonX, Life-Signs, CMS, Client Extranet.

2002 - Recognition

A commitment to service proved popular. Awards started to flood in. These covered many facets of the business from its products & services to a fast growth.

2005 - Growth phase

As word got about, the company grew quickly. Doubling in size in just 18 months.

2012 - Restructure phase

WAVEX entered a new era with focus on the London professional market.

Ensuring the appropriate technology was always at our fingertips, allowed us to continue to provide an industry leading service.

2014 - Investment phase

We moved to the heart of the city to the top floor of Kingsfield House – seeing a different perspective & view of London.

making substantial investments into our platform, we also increased the services we offer, providing a greater degree of scalability.

APEX® was born.

2016 - More innovation

Wavex launched APEX® Live chat, the fastest and the most efficient way to get your IT issues addressed.

ANA (our automation platform) was born, to super-charge our customers so they can get recurring requests solved in seconds!

2019 - Accreditations

ISO27001 accreditation:

We boost our information security with an organisation wide ISO27001 accreditation. ISO 27001 certification recognises Wavex’s dedication to managing information security using risk-based management whilst considering the Confidentiality,
Integrity and Availability of information. The standard guarantees the robustness and quality of Wavex’s ISMS.

2020 - and beyond

With every customer we serve, we aim for providing a greater degree of visibility around their internal operations, helping them orchestrate and drive efficiencies.

Cyber Essentials Plus:

Keeping our customer’s data secure in our systems is extremely important to us. As part of our ongoing commitment to cyber security, and after thorough audits of our systems, Wavex gets Cyber Essentials PLUS Certified.

Cyber Essentials is a UK government scheme, encouraging organisations to adopt good practices in their cyber security measures.

Living Wage:

Wavex joins the Living Wage movement as an accredited Living Wage Employer. This means that every staff member earns the real Living Wage. The Living Wage is an hourly rate set independently and updated annually, based on the cost
of living in the UK.
