Spam / Virus defense

Viruses and spam email are one of the biggest problems faced by our clients. They are potentially dangerous, annoying, can cause offense and it is clear that they are continuing to proliferate despite legislation and new methods of scanning.

To address this, Wavex has launched SVXT, an external scanning service which separates viruses and spam from legitimate emails*. SVX, utilising Symantec's industry leading scanning engine,  acts as a filter for spam and viruses BEFORE they come into your network via email.

SVX will filter your company's emails prior to them being delivered to, or sent from your company **.  It is anticipated that approximately 95% of the spam and viruses you either receive, or your server would have to attempt to clean will be captured with the following benefits

* Suspected spam emails will not be deleted using SVX. They will simply be put into a separate folder within your inbox. Emails containing viruses will be deleted.

** Please note that emails are not the only transmitter of viruses. PC's and networks can become infected through accessing certain websites.  Wavex recommends that you have appropriate Internal Network and Security Policies for employees.
