reporter A LONDON IT company on the wave of success has opened a new
office in Chippenham as it seeks to expand its operations in the west
country.
Wavex, which was the first company
to write a fix for the infamous I Love You computer virus, has launched
its first offices outside the capital.
The company provides enterprise- level IT services to businesses of different sizes.
And now it has a team of west- based technical experts and support
engineers which will provide hands- on support to IT departments and
directors looking for high-quality and cost-effective solutions.
"Businesses are crying out for proactive IT specialists who can manage
their technology infrastructure, advise on preventative measures and
respond quickly when things go wrong," said regional director Adam
Morris, who is based at the company's new offices.
"Many businesses feel vulnerable in the face of the increasing threat
from hackers, viruses, software failures and system crashes,
particularly when they rely on IT to deliver a quality service to their
customers."
Peter Sweetbaum, managing director, said: "Wavex chose the west of
England as a base for its first regional operation because it is home
to thriving businesses which have adopted technology to drive their
businesses forward and understand the importance of secure and reliable
IT infrastructure.
"The technologies we've developed in-house will now be available to
west-based businesses which want to use their IT to greater effect."
