Server Monitoring

Wavex monitoring services fall into two discreet categories, real-time and proactive/pre-emptive analysis.

Real-Time Monitoring

Wavex's Real Time Monitoring is focused at service failures on any server. If a failure occurs Wavex will then contact the customer and take immediate steps to identify and resolve the problem.

The Wavex monitoring servers can check a wide range of components of either the customers IT infrastructure but also the infrastructure of any third parties providing services (e.g. DNS servers, ISP, mail-relays). Wavex can also monitor any server-based application such as email or any networked device like routers, printers, etc.

The results gathered from the real-time monitoring are available on the Wavex Extranet.

Proactive Pre-emptive Monitoring & Analysis

Operating in tandem with Real Time Monitoring, Wavex offers the ultimate in "essential services protection" by proactivly monitoring events, pre-empting conditions which are likely to lead to a service failure.

Wavex has developed an extensive database of events, this allows the Wavex systems to calculates the likelihood of a future problems. The agent runs on the servers for which monitoring is required, and the data it collects is then automatically prioritised based on the criticality of the event. Should a potential problem be detected, an engineer is immediately notified with not only the server name and problem, but an outline of the exact steps which should be taken to resolve the problem.
