About the role

Working as a part of the team, the Project Delivery Engineer is responsible for implementing external (in vast majority) cloud-based projects to Wavex clients as well as some internal projects. To be successful in this role you will have an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft and Citrix technologies as well as Networking (Switches & Routers), Security (Firewalls).


Technical – project delivery (80% external, 20% internal projects)

  • Own, deliver and implement multiple projects simultaneously
    • Adhere to agreed technical plans and deliver project activities to a defined schedule
    • Ensure all project activity is carried out in a professional manner and in line with the Company's best practices, and set standards
  • Liaise directly with clients, including onsite visits (as an when required)
  • Assist Project Managers with project planning, including coordinated change
  • Solve technical problems (troubleshooting)
  • Complete technical audits. Write audit reports, network manuals, diagrams, etc.
  • Liaise directly with third parties
  • Be prepared to work out-of-hours on the delivery of critical projects
Working relationships
  • Collaborate with technical teams across the business – suggest improvements to achieve efficiency and increase an overall company performance
  • Support pre-sales, Technical Architects (who scope solutions at high-level) in producing detailed, low-level design and costing for proposed solutions
Other duties
  • Motivate others – be the role model for other colleagues
  • Share knowledge and be the ‘go-to’ person for junior engineers. Provide guidance and help solve technical problems
  • Comply with Wavex and Client’s specific processes
  • Embrace new technologies
  • Be an ambassador of Wavex (externally and internally)
Qualification and experience

Must have:

  • MCITP or MCSE certified
  • Experience of delivering infrastructure cloud based projects to clients
  • In-depth knowledge of Citrix XenApp, VMware
  • Experience of configuring networking and firewall devices. (i.e. Cisco, Juniper, HP and Palo Alto)
Nice to have:
  • Networking qualification (i.e. Cisco, Juniper, HP or Palo Alto)
  • Citrix and/or VMware qualification
  • Experience of implementing and troubleshooting the networking and firewall devices. (i.e. Cisco, Juniper, HP and Palo Alto)
