The Business Challenge – Facilities Management

 

Wavex are currently working with a Facilities Management company who are based in the city. This particular company, with over 300 staff, is a fast moving, entrepreneurial services business on an aggressive growth strategy. As well as impressive organic growth, the company is reaping the rewards of a number of successful acquisitions resulting in a business with a broad range of capability and an enviable client list.

The company had worked with a long standing supplier of IT services for a number of years who did a good job, but they were small and unable to support the growing ambitions of the client. Recognising this, they began the search for a more professional engagement with a company who could work with them as a strategic partner and who could truly understand their business needs and help them achieve their goals.

With new contract wins and fresh acquisitions to support, they needed a partner who could be agile whilst still delivering a high quality and professional service, and so they engaged with Wavex.

 

The Solution

 

Wavex recommended a combination of bespoke on site solutions designed to provide highly resilient security systems. Infrastructure as a Service, Microsoft Office 365, and a Cloud DR solution were proposed to meet the client’s needs. This solution would all be managed by Wavex under a single managed service contract.

The 5 year contract provides the client with a highly flexible solution, making it easy to add on new users, or entire businesses to the infrastructure quickly and easily under a pay as you go service model. This enables the client to respond to M&A opportunities much more quickly, averting the need to plan a long time in advance, and providing the capability for rapid integration of systems.

Crucially for the client, Wavex has also built an innovative risk and reward gain sharing model into the contract, incentivising Wavex to drive efficiency into the IT systems of the client and in doing so, share in their benefits.

 

The Outcome

 

The client selected Wavex to migrate them to a new Cloud based solution, implement DR and build highly resilient bespoke solutions for mission critical elements of their business.

Furthermore, the Wavex APEX platform uniquely provided them visibility of their entire IT estate with automated asset management, business reporting and workflow, and real-time alerts, this provided them solid foundations upon which to continue to grow.

Shortly after signing contracts with Wavex, the client won one of their largest contracts to date. They also acquired a new business. Both had to be accommodated by the Wavex service, and because of the flexibility of the solution proposed by Wavex, this was easily achieved.

Ultimately, this client will benefit from a highly scalable, cost effective and flexible service, which aligns perfectly to their ongoing growth strategy. As we go forward together, we at Wavex can help support the client as they win more business and help them with their growth plans.
